SWR develops high performance steel wire rope for use in the construction industry. Our range of products have many different applications including heavy lifting, suspending, and supporting large structures – from multi-storey car parks to bridges.
We can supply galvanised or stainless steel wire rope with diameters from 0.5mm through to 32mm. Our technicians can make assemblies on request but we always have a large stock of standard ranges available, ready for quick delivery.
Our years in business mean we have built up a large knowledge base to become more than just suppliers. For example, we work closely with crane manufacturers to develop wire rope with the right properties for use in their machinery.

Case Studies
8mm 6x19 galvanised wire rope with a fibre core was the best product to use for the customers’ wakeboarding systems. It’s more flexible and perfect for applications where the rope needs to run over pulleys.
Industry Wake
Customer required 1000 metres of 10mm galvanised wire rope for hanging elements. They also needed 550 metres of 12mm rope for zip wires and fall protection harnesses, plus 3000 cable clamps along with other fixings.
Ape Mann
Customer ordered thousands of metres of wire rope, which was cut in our workshop. This was integrated into their Model 84 military armor, ensuring the vest could be removed reliably and quickly by the soldier.
