OUR QUALITY IS YOUR REPUTATION

Galway City Cathedral Bridge
Working closely with Thompson’s Project Management, SWR fabricated and supplied a multitude of 6mm 1 x19 S/Steel wire rope assemblies complete with swage studs and rigging screws. With this addition, Galway City Centre now offers a safer and more secure route for travellers.

Serenco UK
As a supplier to the automotive industry, Serenco UK also provide safety applications – such as those for car recovery. These applications require a specialised wire rope assembly to work effectively.

Cirque Du Soleil
Representatives of Cirque du Soleil contacted SWR, as they required secondary safety systems for use during production of their most recent shows in Barcelona. The solution had to be light, easy to use and compact enough to store away at the end of a night’s work.

Hallowe’en – Vintage Fife Cutter
Standing rigging is comprised of wire and fixings which support the mast on a sailing vessel for the purpose of reinforcing its spars against the wind. Inigo needed wire rope in a variety of lengths plus other fixings in order for the installation to go as planned.

C-Capture
C-Capture worked on a project which required spelter sockets attached to the end of galvanized wire rope. Here at SWR, we provide a range of services to go with supplying high-quality fittings and services. This includes spelter socketing which can be a tricky process and requires experienced and trained production workers to perform.

SHADEmakers
SHADEmakers got in contact with SWR as they needed wire rope for a range of parasols that were being installed on a luxury yacht. Of course, due to the high standard of their products they expected the very best components.

Guthrie Douglas
SWR were trusted with creating a new stainless steel fitting as part of a significant upgrade to their TESS 100 and 400 blind systems. Previous versions let in too much light at the hem bar end of the blind so a stainless steel part was needed for greater fabric coverage and to reduce the light gap.

Costco
Our close relationship with Costco’s Watford store over the years has now resulted in SWR becoming the sole supplier of 1.5mm wire ropes and ferrules for all 28 branches in the UK. That means a lot of signage in Costco warehouses now use SWR products to keep them in place.

Volta Catch Ghana
Volta Catch contacted SWR for advice on how to create the most effective netting system for containing their fish in Volta Lake. This resulted in us working closely with the customer to create the best wire rope, ferrule and tooling solution.

The House Of Dancing Water
Because of the high-risk nature of the performances, there could also be no compromise on safety when it comes to selecting the right equipment. For that reason, all parts had a stainless steel construction for high-tensile strength and an eye-catching aesthetic which could visually blend in with the rest of the production.

AJ Hackett SkyPark
Right in the centre of Skypark is where you’ll find the Skybridge. A huge 439 metre suspension bridge, a dizzying 207 metres up in the air. Walking across it is enough to cause your legs to shake but the Skybridge is also home to the Park’s most gravity-defying attractions.

Connswater Community Greenway
A project that required 2000 metres of stainless and galvanised mild steel. This lead to TOT contacting us for the supply of steel wire rope in order to complete this challenging assignment.

Eco Floating Homes
SWR were hired by Eco Floating Homes to work on one of their unique properties. As the building was situated on water, a solution had to be found for securing a stable platform to the floating structure.

Edinburgh Council Anti-Terror Barriers
The City of Edinburgh Council contacted SWR as they required large assemblies for anti-terror barriers at a music festival. With the Council’s usual supplier unavailable and the festival just days away, SWR had a shorter-than-average deadline to fulfil the order request.

The Gobbins Path
SWR were contracted to supply infill cables for various structures – ensuring the paths stay safe for visitors in the decades to come. We are proud to have made a small yet important contribution to this amazing project.

Highways England
We were contacted by a company to provide high-quality wire rope for their cable barriers. These would then be supplied to Highways England for use on roads and motorways across the country.

Locker Architectural
The work of Warrington-based Company Locker Architectural, both structures were a huge challenge to create and install. Not only did both pieces have to be digitally modelled in 3D before construction could start but many specialised fittings had to be outsourced from various companies.

MARS Armor
MARS approached SWR for help on their Model 84 armor: a bullet-proof vest requiring additional parts for its quick release system. An important feature that allows the vest to be quickly removed in urban combat situations.

Sapphire Balconies
Sapphire Balconies got in contact with SWR as the construction of each balcony required customised wire rope components to keep them suspended. They also needed a company flexible enough to send out wire rope in split deliveries due to on-going surveyance of the building site.

Harrods Department Store
Trios, a National provider of facility and property related services, approached SWR to create a wire-rope based solution so every one of Harrods’ doors could shut safely.

Wrightfield Pools
This innovative system is versatile enough for a number of purposes such as changing the water depth or even fully raising the floor so the space can be used for something else entirely.

Pont y Ddraig (Dragon Bridge)
The Dragon Bridge consists of two 30m long decks weighing 8000kg, hinged on a central caisson and lifted simultaneously by cables running up to a 50m central mast. This means it can open several times a day, to give access to passing ships and yachts.

Ape Mann – Adventure Park
Customer required 1000 metres of 10mm galvanised wire rope for hanging elements. They also needed 550 metres of 12mm rope for zip wires and fall protection harnesses, plus 3000 cable clamps along with other fixings.

Industry Wake
8mm 6×19 galvanised wire rope with a fibre core was the best product to use for the customers’ wakeboarding systems. It’s more flexible and perfect for applications where the rope needs to run over pulleys.

Loqski International
The customer got in touch with SWR as they needed a solution for their cable tether-something that won’t break even when extreme pressure is applied. Of course, we were happy to help.
